Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that planning a destination wedding or elopement can feel overwhelming at times, but we're here to guide you every step of the way, ensuring the process is as smooth and stress-free as possible. Whether you're envisioning an intimate Kaua'i elopement or a lavish destination celebration, we'll make it feel as effortless and refreshing as the tradewinds gently swaying the coconut trees. Also check out our Blog page for more information on eloping on Kaua'i.
Can you help us plan our elopement, or do we need a planner?
Yes! We’d be honored to help you plan your Kaua’i elopement. Don't feel like you need to have everything figured out before hiring your photographer! Talk to us first! When you inquire, we'll send you a link to schedule a Zoom meeting with Annie to meet and chat about your vision for your special day. We have so many insights we'd love to share with you before you lock in a venue. From location suggestions to timelines, we offer guidance throughout the process to make your day as seamless as possible. We do recommend hiring a wedding planner for celebrations with more than 10 guests. We are always happy to assist with coordination details as needed.

Can you help us find an officiant, florist, and hair & makeup artists?

Absolutely! We love supporting the local Kaua’i community and have compiled a list of our top recommended vendors, including officiants, hair and makeup artists, wedding coordinators, florists, and more. You’ll receive a PDF of our recommendations after submitting your inquiry.

Do you have experience working with LGBTQ+ couples?
Yes, absolutely! We are beyond excited to work with each and every one of you loving humans and celebrate your love in all its beautiful forms. Every couple deserves a wedding that’s personal, meaningful, and full of joy—we are a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space to for you. We’ve had the honor of working with many LGBTQ+ couples, and each one has been a beautiful experience. You’re in great hands, and we can’t wait to bring your vision to life.

Is sunrise or sunset better for our session?

Both sunrise and sunset offer their own unique beauty! Sunrise is a quiet, peaceful time on the beach, with fewer people around, so we’ll essentially have the place to ourselves. It’s a serene, intimate experience. If you're not an early riser, sunset is equally stunning, with golden light that bathes the landscape—though you might share the beach with a few more people. Either way, you can’t go wrong!

What if it rains?
No rain, no rainbows! We shoot rain or shine, and a little rain can actually make for magical photos. Here on Kaua'i, it's usually just a passing shower, over in just a few minutes, so we’ll typically wait it out. If it doesn’t clear up after about 30 minutes, we’ll discuss rescheduling options. (Pro tip: Consider scheduling your session earlier in your vacation, so you have flexibility to reschedule if needed—plus you’ll avoid getting too sunburned!)

What’s your turnaround time for gallery delivery?

Your final gallery will be ready for you within 4-6 weeks from your session date. We believe in taking the time to carefully curate and edit each image, ensuring they reflect the beauty of your day.

Do you offer sneak peeks?
Yes! We love sharing sneak peeks, especially for elopements, weddings, and proposals. These usually go out within a week of your session to give you a glimpse of the magic we captured! Please note that during our busiest seasons, sneak peeks are reserved only for Weddings & Elopements and may take a little extra time.

What’s the best location for family photos with young children and older adults?
For family photos that include little ones and older adults, we love the accessible beauty of Hanalei Bay on the North Shore. It’s easy to get to, with parking just steps from the beach and restrooms nearby. If you're staying on the South Shore and prefer to avoid the drive, Shipwreck Beach is a great alternative that fronts the Grand Hyatt in Poipu. This beach is quite popular for family photos and weddings, so keep in mind that it can get crowded in the evenings.

Can I get more than the guaranteed number of edited images?
Each package includes a minimum number of photos, but we always send more! If we capture additional beautiful moments, we’ll share them with you. If you’re anticipating wanting more photos, you can always upgrade the number of guaranteed images in your gallery.

Do you share the RAW files?
We do not share RAW images. This is industry standard, as RAW files are unfinished and not suitable for printing. We put a lot of time and artistry into editing your photos to bring out their full potential. If you're looking for a specific moment you can't find in your gallery, we're always happy to review the footage and see if we can provide it for you!
