Na Āina Kai Botanical Gardens is a gorgeous property on the north shore of Kauai. Na Āina Kai is a non-profit botanical garden spanning over 200 acres. There are many locations within the gardens to choose from for your wedding ceremony and reception. The Hardwood Forest (pictured above) is very popular for ceremonies and bridal portraits. There is also Kaluakai Beach, the Lotus Garden, The Residence, and more.
With so many beautiful spots to choose from, I highly suggest booking a tour of the gardens with their wedding coordination team to find the spot the resonates with you and your partner the most. The gardens can accommodate a guest list anywhere from 2-150.

Every time I've had the honor of getting to eat there while photographing a wedding or event, it has been absolutely amazing. I'm a foodie at hart and this place makes my hart so, so happy.
The Common Ground property is expansive, but they've created a beautifully intimate space for ceremonies. Any size guest list is welcome. The property is lush and there's a beautiful pond surrounded by a lei garden. If you're imagining a whimsical, fairy-tale feel for your wedding day, Common Ground absolutely delivers. National Tropical Botanical Gardens
These botanical gardens are so incredibly magical and enchanting! The heart shaped leaves of the vines that climb under the shade of the Monkeypod tree give our favorite ceremony spot its whimsical touch.
The gardens can accomodate a ceremony of 2 - 150 guests. Perfect for eloping with just your love and closest family and friends, or bringing the entire 'ohana together in one fo the most magical places on Kaua'i. There is also a private waterfall where you can hold your ceremony as well. The wide open meadow that hosts the huge Monkeypod tree can also host a beautiful tent for your reception.
My favorite part about these gardens is that there are so, so, so many places to create beautiful portraits. The way the light moves through the unique fauna and flora here is always stunning and adds just a little touch of mystic that tantalizes my creative eye. It feels like everywhere you look, there is a gorgeous scene ready to embrace you and your lover.

The wonderful Smith 'Ohana has been providing Kaua'i with cultural connection, beauty, and local style entertainment since 1946. Over 80 years of love for this island and sharing it with all those who visit.
Smith's offers two beautiful wedding experiences. You can take a boat to Fern Grotto for an intimate ceremony on the river, or you can hold you ceremony within the lush botanical gardens. I have not yet had a chance to photograph a wedding at Fern Grotto, but I would absolutely love to! I have had the honor of documenting a couple weddings in the gardens though, and they are so beautiful!
Smith's is very affordable and a top choice for local weddings and events. You can check their rates online, but as far as venues go, Smith's boasts great value and incredible scenery. There are so many beautiful spots for your couples portraits around the gardens. Seriously, there's enchanting beauty around every corner. You can also host both your ceremony and reception here, with their built in luau area and kitchen. The amazing Hawaiian style menu is delicious and makes feeding a large guest list incredibly easy. They also offer live entertainment, musicians, and hula dancers that you can inquire about.
